Memory Keeper
About Me
Hi! I’m CJ. I document life’s moments and memories by combining beautifully designed papers, stamps, and photos. When I am not at my 9 to 5 job, documenting is one of my favorite creative outlets.
Where I Started
When researching for places to camp in Michigan the summer of 2018, I came across a few scrapbook layouts in a web search. That search opened the door to an entire community of documenters sharing their work on Instagram, blogs, and YouTube. I placed supply orders from Everyday Explorers, Kelly Purkey Shop, and Studio Calico to create my first few projects. That fall, I found Ali Edwards and completed my first December Daily album. See detailed flip-throughs and more on my blog.

Plans and Inspiration
As the years went on, I found more places to find some of my favorite scrapbook supplies and participated in several types of projects. At the end of each year, I consider my memory keeping plans for the next year. It helps me from over-buying, taking into account what is in my stash already, and makes room for new projects and supplies. I find inspiration from various YouTube creators and listen to several crafty podcasts.
2025 Plans
I have been scrapbooking since 2018 and have carried a planner and journal long before that. This year, I am merging methods and changing up my memory keeping.
For pocket page hybrid scrapbooking, I will fill pockets chronologically. I am not doing weekly or monthly but rather filling pockets as I go and when I want to. I will use hefty 6x8 pocket page TN inserts from @shopfreckledfawn that I slip into my @roterfaden.de nubuck cover.
I will be using a weeks size journal from Sterling Ink to create check lists, plan, keep track of currents and other life details as my daily carry.
For a memory journal to document life’s moments, I will use an A6 @analogue_keeper tucked inside @hobonichitecho_official Tragen cover . I will add in ephemera, tidbits of life’s details, and use my stash of stamps.
For scrapbooking, I will continue to participate in a few of @aliedwardsdesigninc projects such as Week in the Life and December Daily but letting go of my version of “project life” this year
I have found so much inspiration in the scrapbook community and started following many in the journaling community this past year. I have also decided to flip the switch back to a public account and see how it goes. Excited about the year ahead documenting the exciting to mundane moments. ✨
